New standards in vehicle equipment: innovative shelving solutions
The system is based on a basic shelf configured and pre-installed with the Volkswagen vehicle. However, the real innovation lies in the new One-Click system: with just one click, the Sortimo shelving elements can be flexibly and individually adapted to changing requirements over the entire service life of the vehicle.
This system solution will be available for the VW Caddy, ID Buzz Cargo, New Transporter and Crafter.
Standardisation meets individualisation
The shelf supports can be easily integrated using a click system and adjusted or repositioned as required. Swapping between several vehicles is also possible, as is reuse in the next vehicle. Used vehicles with a basic shelving unit provide an ideal basis for the next user, who can reconfigure it completely according to their own requirements. This enables fleet customers to use the standardised version to customise the shelving system for the respective vehicle user.
What are the advantages?
The individual shelf contents such as shelves, drawers, etc. can be easily exchanged between different vehicles without tools and without a great deal of time, and can be inserted and removed as required. The main advantage of this is that the space requirement is reduced and the load capacity is increased, allowing more material to be loaded.

Sustainability
The shelf contents can be used over several life cycles without any problems if handled properly, which helps to save resources. There are no problems when changing models or vehicle sizes.

Costs can be significantly reduced through reuse and the reduced/eliminated pre-assembly times. Furthermore, the time required to transport the vehicle for disassembly and the additional final assembly time are eliminated, which ultimately also reduces costs.
